The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills are set to square off in an AFC East matchup at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 11 at Highmark Stadium. These two teams have allowed few points on average (the Jets 18.58, Buffalo 17.42), so any points scored will be well earned.

New York didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 27-22 to the Minnesota Vikings this past Sunday. New York's only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Mike White.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 16. K Greg Zuerlein delivered a perfect 5-for-5 game.

Meanwhile, Buffalo was able to grind out a solid win over the New England Patriots last week, winning 24-10. The team ran away with 17 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory. It was another big night for Buffalo's WR Stefon Diggs, who caught seven passes for one TD and 92 yards.

The Jets are expected to lose this next one by 9.5. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Sunday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

New York is now 7-5 while the Bills sit at 9-3. Two numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: New York enters the contest with only 11 passing touchdowns allowed, good for third best in the NFL. But Buffalo comes into the matchup boasting the second most passing touchdowns in the league at 25. These opposing strengths should make for an exciting matchup.

When you finish with 232 more yards than your opponent like the Buffalo Bills did on Sunday, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They came out on top against the New York Jets by a score of 18-10. That's another feather in the cap for the Bills, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Buffalo couldn't find the end zone and got their points from six field goals. QB Josh Allen ended up with a passer rating of 129.70. K Tyler Bass added his talents, too, launching six field goals between the uprights.

Buffalo's defense was a presence, holding New York to a paltry 190 yards. The defense embarrassed New York's offensive line to sack QB Sam Darnold six times for a loss of 29 yards. Leading the way was DE Jerry Hughes and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Hughes this year.

Buffalo will look to defend their home turf next Sunday against the New England Patriots at 1 p.m. ET. New England is limping into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for New York, they will go up against the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. New York is heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that squad is averaging 31 per matchup.

The New York Jets haven't won a game against the Buffalo Bills since Dec. 29 of 2019, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Sunday. The Jets and Buffalo will face off in an AFC East battle at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium. These two teams have allowed few points on average (New York 19.88, Buffalo 14), so any points scored will be well earned.

This past Sunday, New York was within a late touchdown of stealing the win, but they took the "L" against the New England Patriots 22-17. A silver lining for New York was the play of TE Tyler Conklin, who caught six passes for two TDs and 79 yards.

Meanwhile, the Bills had a touchdown and change to spare in a 27-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday. The team ran away with 24 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the win. No one had a standout game offensively for Buffalo, but they got scores from WR Isaiah McKenzie, WR Stefon Diggs, and TE Dawson Knox. QB Josh Allen ended up with a passer rating of 135.60.

The Jets have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 13-point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Sunday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

New York is now 5-3 while the Bills sit at 6-1. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: New York enters the contest having picked the ball off nine times, good for fourth in the league. But Buffalo is even better: they enter the matchup having picked the ball off 11 times, good for first in the NFL. We'll see if that edge gives Buffalo a route to victory.
